What is Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction?
MBSR is an 8 week cumulative program that introduces various mindfulness practices, encourages the development of an ongoing meditation practice to increase resilience, and provides a framework for understanding the mechanisms and effects of stress in your life
Participants Will Learn
How to develop a different relationship to stress and practical skills for managing stress.
The majority of MBSR program participants report lasting decreases in the psychological and physical symptoms of stress. The research indicates good behavioural outcomes, such as better sleep and fewer worries.
Who? For 10-15 students registered with Disability Services. You do not need to be registered in summer classes, but must be returning in Fall 2017
What? An 8 week Mindfulness group
When? Mondays 10am - 12pm May 29th - July 24th (excluding July 3rd)
