ASD Support Group

The "ASD Support Group" is an informally structured (and sometimes unstructured!) group for students who have an Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) diagnosis.

The goal of the ASD Support Group is to provide students with a confidential and supportive setting where they can come together to make connections, socialize with one another, discuss experiences, and share ideas.

Topics discussed have included:

  • academic issues
  • stress
  • dating and relationship issues
  • bullying
  • disclosure
  • employment
  • .... and sometimes we discuss topics of personal interest, hobbies...

The group meets weekly during the fall/winter term and is facilitated by a Disability Counsellor and ASD Coach.  It will take place on Wednesdays from 3pm to 4pm.  Dates and locations  are available on our Events Calendar.

Social Skills Group

The Social Skills Group is a new, one hour, semi-structured group for students with ASD. The group will allow students to work on social skills development (students will have the opportunity to provide input as to topics of discussion and focus).  It will take place on Wednesdays throughout the fall/winter term, from 2pm to 3pm (right before the ASD Support Group).

This group is also facilitated by a Disability Counsellor and ASD Coach.  Dates and locations  are available on our Events Calendar.
