One of our primary goals is to allow students to development their personal and academic skills so that they can be as independent as possible as they pursue their academic careers.
We provided 1:1 academic support to students by assigning each student to one disability counsellor who can work with them while they are at York to navigate the academic and administrative landscape.
Other Academic Supports Include:
- access to the TEL 1017 Assistive Technology Lab
- access to a Study Hall where someone can support you with questions you might have about academics and using supports
- a credited first year university level course - Language and Learning Seminar (LLS1000) which can count as an elective or general education requirement (depending on your Faculty)
- access to groups such as
- access to various individual tutoring supports
We also provide on-going groups on topics such as those listed above. These groups are run based on student demand and are not offered each semester.
